The Gospel in 3 words

What does it mean?

Once a person repents of their sins and places their faith in Jesus Christ, they are literally adopted into God’s heavenly family. We become his children; we are now sons and daughters of the God most high. This is possible because by grace Christ covers us in His perfect righteousness; we are actually called co-heirs with Christ. Propitiation is the means by which adoption can take place. Christ’s death is said to propitiate God’s wrath by satisfying it. In biblical definition, it literally means an appeasement of God’s wrath or a turning away of it. In light of this God now looks at each one of us through Christ, seeing us as righteous, holy, and pure. We are now in God’s favor. Thank you Jesus for adoption through propitiation.
